Dear friends and partners,
Thank you for your generous gifts to One Hope Outreach Ministry.
Your love, prayers and financial support is so much appreciated. In our prayers we thank God for you and pray that His blessing will be abundant towards you.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done:
Where there is a kingdom, there is a king. When there is a king that has a kingdom, that kingdom has laws that govern that kingdom. The kingdom of heaven is real and the king of that kingdom is the Lord Jesus Christ. His kingdom is governed by a constitution of righteousness and that constitution is the supreme law of that kingdom. There is no confusion, disruption, riot,
or rebellion that can overthrow His rule. He is never shaken.
However, in the earth there is confusion, riots and rebellion on many levels and having convulsions and is in turmoil on every hand. We are summoned by Jesus to petition heaven for its intervention in the affairs of mankind.
Luke’s gospel account reports that in a certain place after Jesus had ended His prayer a disciple asked Him to teach them how to pray. The first words of His response were; “When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” ---- Luke 11:2 (KJV). Jesus’ words “your kingdom come” was more than a suggestion to His disciples that they pray for a distant heavenly land to come into view at the end of life here on earth.
When Jesus said, “Thy kingdom come” He was giving instruction that heaven be petitioned for God’s governing rule to come here on earth where we live in the now of everyday life. For the Believer; when life has ended on this earth, he or she will go to meet the Lord and be at peace in that wonderful place called heaven. However, in the meantime, we have been charged to bring heaven’s supreme rule to govern our lives in every way and every day.
What about you; have you petitioned heaven for Godly rule in your life today?
-Marvin Smith
