Dear friends and partners:

You are a valued partner with One Hope Outreach Ministry. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support in all that the Lord has entrusted to us.

Have you prayed today?

The advancement of God’s kingdom is dependent upon praying people. Praying people are God’s agents on earth, representatives of the government of heaven.

Jesus’ disciples, upon observing the effectiveness of His prayers, ask that He would teach them how to pray. Jesus’ instructions to them began with acknowledging God as sovereign, almighty and above all others. Further instruction was to pray that God’s kingdom would come to earth and His will be done here as it is in heaven. (Luke 11:2-4)

Prayer must be at the forefront of all that we do. Jesus said --- ”men ought to always pray and not faint.” There is no principle in scripture more strongly urged than “men ought to pray.”

Praying people can change circumstances and situations and bring about a more desired outcome altogether. In the book of Acts, Chapter 12, The apostle Peter was thrown into prison by Herod the king with the intent of (after the Easter holiday) having him killed by removing his head by sword. But because of praying people, Peter was set free from his chains by a supernatural visitation of God’s angel, for the scriptures say, “prayer was made without ceasing of the church of God for him.”

Heaven is full of treasures and provision for every situation of life and they are all accessed through prayer. So, have you prayed today? Heaven is waiting to hear from you.

Dear friends and partners:

It is a great privilege to work together with so many in the kingdom of God. The fields of harvest truly are white for harvest. Thank you as always for partnering with us as do the work of ministry where ever God directs.

Baptized Into Christ:

Being born again is regeneration of the human spirit and this is referred to many times as being saved.

We are saved from God’s judgment and penalty for sin by God’s gracious gift to us. We receive His gift of salvation by faith--trusting only in Him--not anything else.

Becoming a Christian is not based on our wise choice of good behavior and exemplary character. We can only be right with God by believing in Christ as Savior.

A person becomes a Christian through the work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the agent that brings new life into the one who trusts in Jesus.

Being born again is to be baptized INTO Christ. This baptism into Christ is the one baptism that all men must have to be saved. This baptism cleanses from sin and makes one a new creation in Christ Jesus. “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Cor 5:16-17 (KJV)

When Jesus was crucified on the cross, He paid the penalty for sin and our debt of sin was paid in full. The sacrifice of His life on the cross was to pay the redemptive price for the salvation of mankind. Jesus was baptized into death and raised to new life.

Before we believed in Christ or [Baptized Into Him] our nature was evil. We were held captive to our sin nature.

Baptism into Christ signifies the death and burial of the old way of life, followed by the resurrection to new life with Christ.

The power of sin has been broken and we need no longer live under its power. Our evil desires, our bondage to sin, and our love for sin died with Christ.

Our baptism into Christ signifies our cutting off from the kingdom of sin. We are dead to the power of sin’s domination and by our union with Christ we are alive in Him.

To be alive in Christ is to have our affections and desires alive to God. And there is no living unto God without living through Christ.

What about you, are you baptized into Christ?

Dear friends and partners:

We praise God for his faithfulness in fulfilling His word when we listen and obey it. He has given the church a commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel (the good news) of His kingdom. We are also grateful that he has raised up partners like you that support us in the great commission. Many lives are blessed because of your prayers and support of One Hope Outreach Ministry.

Have you ever considered yourself to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? A hearer and doer of Christ’s words. A disciple of Christ is not a person that prays a sinners prayer merely to meet the minimum requirement to gain entry into heaven when his or her days on earth have expired.

In the New Testament “disciple” is the English rendering of a Greek word meaning one who professes to have learned certain principles from another and maintains them on that other’s authority.

A disciple is a “Learner” that has decided and practices, loving, serving, helping, supporting, laughing with and sometimes crying with another person.

The love of God is a commandment to every disciple of Christ and is the greatest commandment of God. It covers all the ten commandments given through Moses in the Old Testament. In the New Testament Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.“ John 13:34-35 (KJV)

This well-known commandment is not to be merely a notion in our heads, but a practice from the heart. Of all the words, parables and sayings of Jesus, there is none which is so much talked about and so little obeyed as this.

The application of this Christian fruit should be heard in our words, seen in our behavior, first at home and then expressed to the broader world in which we dwell.

The apostle Paul says “ love never fails“: ---1 Cor 13:8 (KJV).

Though prophecy and various virtues of the Christian life may fall short of its intended mark the love of God never fails.

The very men and women who cannot comprehend Christian doctrine and know nothing about the body of scripture, can appreciate the God kind of love when it is expressed through a true disciple of the Lord.

No one is yet perfected in this love walk but a disciple is ever learning and putting into practice those things taught by the master.

Let it be settled, that this commandment, to every disciple, will bear fruit in your life today.
