Dear friends and partners,

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We are always so thankful for your love and support of One Hope Outreach Ministry as we reach into a broken world with the gospel message.

We are reaching into our homeland of the United States of America and abroad in Africa, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and many other countries to numerous to list here. Thank you once again for your prayers and support in all that we do in presenting the gospel and seeing lives changed by the power of the gospel.

The gospel message is to impress upon the conscience of man the obligation to receive Christ as Savior and the sufficiency of His sacrifice on the cross to cleanse us from our inherent sin and rebellion against God and his righteousness, and empower us to stand before God un-condemned.

Many are almost, but not fully persuaded to become a Christian. Upon hearing the gospel message they are under strong conviction, but yet overrule the conviction with an alternate enticement, and do not yield. The pushing off of the conviction serves to harden the conscience to any future appeal. In the affairs of eternal destination every delay is dangerous.

King Agrippa’s cynical reply to Apostle Paul’s testimony in Acts 26:28 was; “almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.” (KJV) The apostle’s reply was, “I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether as I am except for these chains.” (NKJV)

Paul had no fear to stand before the rulers of his day. There is no record of his trembling before Felix nor Agrippa, rather when Paul spoke of eternal destination and final judgment of the soul of every man, the record declares that Felix trembled, saying, “go away for now, when I have a convenient time I will call for you.” Acts 24:25 (NKJV) Felix shrugged away the conviction of Paul’s appeal for righteousness, self control, and judgment to come. Trusting himself to tomorrow’s uncertain future, he relied on the hope of another day and found comfort in the thought of a convenient moment that may never come. The present time is the most convenient time that will ever be. There is no promise of another time much less a more convenient time.

The right and convenient time to receive God’s grace is now. 2nd Corinthians 6:2 (KJV) ----behold, now is the accepted time; today is the day of salvation. On the day of Pentecost, fifty days after Jesus’ resurrection, Peter preached to the crowd gathered in Jerusalem and said, “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved”.

If you are a Christian and out of fellowship with other members of the body of Christ, now is the time to get it right. If you are a person that has never received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, now is the time to make that decision. Don’t delay, don’t wait for tomorrow, don’t wait for a more convenient time. The Bible says, “Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

-Marvin Smith
